Tonight I went to see another couple of films at the LA Jewish Film Festival. The first was one of the best short films I've ever seen, The Man Who Buried His Own Leg. Just three minutes long and absolutely perfect. Then we saw One Small Hitch, a very funny and endearing romantic comedy starring Shane Mcrae, Aubrey Dollar and Daniel Travanti, directed by John Burgess. It was at Laemmle's Royal Theatre on Santa Monica Blvd. in West LA, which is a lovely theatre to take in a film. It has been remodeled, with artwork adorning the walls, and was smaller and comfortable, with plenty of parking in the lot around back and on the streets.
The LA Jewish Film Festival runs through May 8th, for tickets and more information visit lajfilmfest.org.
