Recently we participated in the Messiah Sing-Along at the Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles. This holiday tradition is a wonderful way to enjoy the season and share in the beauty and majesty of Handel’s Messiah, and sing along with a huge audience if you wish. Although there were those who just listened, most did sing, and it sounded very nice indeed. The Messiah is not an easy piece of music to sing, and if you want to improve, go every year to the sing-along, in a few years you’ll be a pro!
The concert was put on by the Los Angeles Master Chorale, with Grant Gershon as conductor. The soloists were outstanding, including Zanaida Robles, the Soprano pictured above.
It was held in the spectacular and unique Walt Disney Concert Hall at the Music Center. The design and elegance of the building is breathtaking, and a perfect setting for such a wonderful tradition. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and I will look forward to participating for many more years to come.
