This weekend there is a terrific Independent Filmmaker Day event with dozens of industry experts helping you learn how to develop, finance, cast, distribute and sell your dream film or TV project. It's this Saturday and Sunday, September 11th and 12th. It's completely virtual so you can easily attend from your home or office. Visit ifilmday.com for tickets and more information. I have a press pass so I will be covering it here as well. Enjoy!

Hope Gap is a lovely, moving film masterfully acted by Annette Bening and Bill Nighy about the bittersweet end to a 29 year marriage. Based on the play, also written by William Nicholson, the writer and director of this film, it tells the story of his own parents. He is the son played by Josh O'Connor in the film, also a wonderful performance. A moving, emotional independent film just out in theaters this week.
After the screening, Annette Bening was interviewed onstage at the Landmark Theatre in West Los Angeles tonight. She comes across as a hardworking, dedicated actress whose intelligence and subtlety greatly added to this role, and most any other role she turns to.
