Take a moment out of your day today to remember those who perished in the tragedy of 9/11, and to thank all those who protect and serve us today so that we can enjoy our freedom.  As they say, freedom isn't free; and especially in light of recent events in Syria, Egypt, and beyond.  Be grateful for the many blessings we have in this country for being able to live in relative safety and opportunity.  May God bless our country, and our world, with peace.

Remembering 911 thirteen years after really hit me with a deep sadness. Combined with analyzing the latest news on the Syria saga,
suddenly last night I became fearful of the possibility of terrorist attacking America with chemical weapons. After all we are a free
Nation, with Liberty and Justice for ALL - which included people that arrive in these United States daily. But it occurred to me that what if while our politicians are debating and analyzing and debating and considering and continuing to be against this and that, that the enemy
suddenly drops bombs and chemicals on us - like in the Pearl Hobor Days that I read about in History classes....I began crying and praying and feeling so sad for the families who lost love ones on that terrible day in 2001. One of my daughters who was residing in NYC at the time barely missed that doomed day, as she arrived here on the West Coast 2 weeks earlier. It was a baffling moment as I was about to turn off the morning news to go to work and paused as I saw one plane fly directly into the tallest building in NYC, and then another. It was horringly unbelievable. My prayers go out to the families who lost love ones and all who were there to help.
