Today I saw Sonny Boy, directed by Maria Peters, which told the based on truth story of an interracial couple trying desperately to survive in WWII Holland.  A lovely movie, if a bit long and quite sad in places, it nonetheless sheds light on this important aspect of history.  The actors in particular are terrific and very natural.

Note, there is $5.00 parking available in a lot for the Laemmle Music Hall where many of the film festival events take place, just l/2 block south of Wilshire on Doheny, very convenient.
