This afternoon I attended a lovely food and wine tasting event at Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills. It had dozens of tasting tables, a live jazz band, raffle tables, and lots of friendly folks. It was a benefit for the Beverly Hills Bar Foundation Pro Bono Legal Services programs. They hold it every year. Greystone Mansion is a famous mansion with a fascinating history, and it had beautiful views of the city and wonderful grounds and fountains. For more information, visit vintagebouquet.com.
One restaurant in particular had delicious tasting samples: Phorage Los Angeles (website phoragela.com). They are a very fresh, locally sourced modern Vietnamese restaurant and the samples were just yummy. I can't wait to visit the restaurant. Many more winemakers, restaurants, dessert makers, and others also offered samples of their wares. It was fun to try everything out while supporting a very good cause.
