I recently happened to be seated next to a well-known actor at a restaurant in Santa Monica at dinner. I glanced over a couple of times to make sure it was him, and yes, sure enough, there he was in the flesh, having dinner with his friend. I wondered if I should say something, after all he was sitting right next to me. Then I asked myself, would you want to be bothered over and over again by strangers interrupting your life? So I just quietly finished my dinner, and left before they did. Why don't we just leave people alone? If they are on the red carpet or some other publicity event, sure, take your pictures, get your autographs, but there's too much fawning over well-known people and I wish more of us would just leave well enough alone.
