Yesterday I went to a delightful private reception for a new book, Out of the Bronx by Jerome Kass, published by my friends Robert Wallace and Robert Asahina of Asahina & Wallace. It was a beautiful afternoon, at a lovely home up in the hills above Los Angeles. The book is a collection of stories drawn from Mr. Kass’s experiences growing up in the Bronx.
Mr. Kass is best known as a successful screenwriter, and wrote the book for the Broadway musical Ballroom. He’s a lovely fellow, even a bit shy in person. There were many other successful and up and coming screenwriters, writers and director types there as well. All in all, a lovely afternoon for what promises to be a most enjoyable book.
